Dr Vidhya Moorthy is a Senior Obstetrician and Fetal Medicine specialist. She has more than 18 years of experience in these fields. She completed MBBS in 2006, in Madurai Medical college. She trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in high risk obstetric units in the UK and obtained MRCOG in 2015. She has worked in higher grades in various high risk obstetrics units in the United Kingdom and is skilled in managing pregnancy and labour complications.

Her love and passion for high risk pregnancy management motivated her to pursue further training in fetal and maternal medicine. She went over to do her further training in Fetal Medicine (scanning mother and babies to diagnose and manage complications) in the world’s leading and renowned Harris Birthright research Centre at King’s college hospital under Professor Nicolaides (Father of Fetal Medicine) in London. She is one of the very few doctors in India who has undertaken Fetal Medicine training there. She graduated with Diploma in fetal Medicine in 2018. She is trained and skilled in performing high standard ultrasound scan and fetal procedures. Realising that the growing field of fetal medicine requires expertise in genetics and genomic medicine, she obtained her Diploma in genomic medicine and healthcare (University of South Wales, Cardiff) to counsel families with genetic concerns in the fetus. She is well known for her calm demeanour, compassionate care and sensitive counselling.
